I voted on Tuesday. I stepped over a dog sprawled out near the door of my polling place, walked around kids waiting for their mommies, found the line I was supposed to be in, cast my ballot and strode away wearing the little sticker that said I'd done my duty.

And then I went out and talked to people who didn't.
