THOUSAND OAKS - The LaReina High girls' volleyball team fell behind in the early stages of Saturday night's Southern Section Div. II-AA quarterfinal match to visiting La Salle, prompting a players- only meeting between the Regents just before the start of the all- important third game.

They gathered in a circle, joined hands and broke the huddle a much more spirited group. There was, however, a problem, and a big one at that. La Reina failed to maintain the momentum it had seemingly built and La Salle took full advantage en route to a 31- 29, 25-18, 21-25, 25-20 victory.
