SAUGUS - It was as impressive a performance as any Saugus boys' cross country team had delivered at a Foothill League meet, and yet it still wasn't enough Thursday to upstage the Centurions girls' lineup.

On a day when Golden Valley's Kristian Martinez produced a thrilling come-from-behind victory in the boys' race and Chelsey Totten overcame a foot injury to help the Grizzlies secure second place in the girls' competition, Saugus relied on impressive packs to produce a pair of first-place team finishes on the new 3-mile Central Park course.
